The complete list of what EByAi stores on your device and why. The short version: one cookie to keep you signed in, some local storage for your own preferences, and analytics only if you say yes. No advertising, and no social-media tracking pixels — anywhere on the site.
01Essential — always on
- Session cookie — an
httpOnlycookie that keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It cannot be read by JavaScript, it carries no advertising identifier, and the service does not work without it.
This one is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for, so it is set without a consent prompt. Blocking it in your browser signs you out.
02Preferences — stored on your device only
These live in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to our servers and never leave your device:
- light or dark theme;
- the course or exam you last selected;
- unsaved practice progress, so a refresh does not lose your place;
- your cookie choice itself, so we stop asking.
Clearing your browser storage clears all of these and nothing breaks permanently.
03Analytics — only with your consent
If — and only if — you accept the banner, we load Google Analytics with IP anonymisation turned on, to see which pages are used and where people get stuck.
- Nothing loads before you accept. Declining loads no script at all.
- Declining changes nothing about your access or your plan.
- We do not run analytics for any user we know to be a child.
- We do not sell or share analytics data.
04What we deliberately do not run
Stated explicitly, because it is unusual for a platform this size:
- No advertising cookies. We sell no ads and run no ad network.
- No Meta Pixel, and no social-media tracking pixels. The Meta Pixel was removed from this site entirely and will not be reinstated: a large share of our users are children, and behavioural advertising tracking on children is not permitted under section 9 of the DPDP Act 2023.
- No cross-site profiling, and no data brokers.
- No fingerprinting to work around a declined banner.
05Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings, usually under Privacy. Blocking all cookies for this site will sign you out and stop your preferences from persisting; blocking third-party cookies alone has no effect on EByAi, because we do not set any.
